There are so many words to describe the Eridanus Real Wood Circle of Light – modern, minimal, mesmerising. Yet, this unique, eye-catching circular lamp is also extremely practical. But let’s skip the technical for the time being and enjoy the esoteric reality.

Sounds rather appropriate for this stylish and thought-provoking design, don’t you think? The round base and circular top are made from a single piece of solid Niangon wood. Cut and shaped by hand, the beautiful exotic wood has a soft, subtleness to the grain which is highlighted by the LEDs. I love that you can see right through the centre, it’s almost like sneaking a glimpse into another forbidden world. And the bright circle of LED light is the portal. 

 

Because I have embedded the LED lightstrip deep into the wood, they are almost invisible when viewed straight ahead. And the slender rod of hand-polished steel, connecting the solid wooden circle and base, adds the finishing touch to this clean, modern design. This lamp is the perfect, practical addition to any home or office. And with no light bulbs to replace – ever! – it could last you a lifetime.
