If you know me well, or follow my work on social media, then you know that I make a lot of lamps from real wood logs. And why not? They are easy to source, sustainable and eco-friendly. The majority of logs are collected on my woodland walks with the dogs – with the land-owners permission of course.

Now, perhaps I have said it before but this rustic real log lamp is my absolute favourite. Why? Because I just love how it appears to be completely rustic. Yet, simultaneously, the sleek, subtle glimpse of matt aluminium gives it a tantalising air of modernism.

So, whatever your interior design style, this totally unique rustic log lamp will harmonize with its surroundings and bring you heaps of visual and practical pleasure.

 

The two sections are hewn from the same wooden log and carefully crafted so they appear to drift away from each other. But it’s just your eyes deceiving you because they are tethered together with a slim tube of matt aluminium. And discretely hidden in the upper section of the lamp is a circuit of small, but very bright, LEDs. These tiny lights provide great light output and should never need replacing – this light could literally last you a lifetime! The lamp is finished with a clear varnish to ensure the log keeps its clean look and subtle shine.
