Ordering, Payments and Deliveries

Payments and deliveries

ORDERING

I try to have most orders made and shipped within 1-2 weeks of receiving the order and payment. Sometimes I may have items ready made, or partially made, which can be completed and shipped sooner. For multiple quantities and during busy periods such as Christmas, it could take longer to despatch, but you will be informed of any additional delays on receipt of the order.

Always refer to the full Shipping, Returns and Refunds Policy before placing an order.

PAYMENTS

When you pay online at LuxSabre.com your payment information is secure and only used to complete your order. However, if you want to pay by another method please let me know. In addition to the secure payments via LuxSabre.com I also happily accept the following types of payments :

  • PayPal
  • Bank transfer
  • Cheque (in euros)
  • Payment on collection

If you do not want to pay via the website, then please contact owen@luxsabre.com to confirm the method of payment before you place an order.

DELIVERIES

All the products for sale on this site are either 100% handmade by me, or have been adapted and or upcycled from other items. With these types of products, and the fact that every item is totally unique, it is not possible to have them electrically tested and certified by an independent party.

I am very experienced and competent when it comes to using electrical and electronic components. But unfortunately I cannot accept any responsibility for anything that I have made, restored or adapted. It is the customer who is responsible for deciding whether something is safe to use.

When an item has to be wired into the mains electric (not simply plugged in) then I recommend the installation is done by a qualified professional.

INSURANCE

I aim to ship items anywhere in the world, and always send all items through a reliable delivery service. This ensures the parcel is recorded with tracking and fully insured against loss, damage and theft. Unfortunately, the insurance is only valid if the goods you have ordered are checked PRIOR to being signed for.

If there is damage, breakages or missing items make sure to note the issues and take photographic evidence BEFORE signing for the package. You should thoroughly inspect and unpack the package in front of the delivery person.

If they refuse to wait then please clearly mark this on the paperwork that you are signing. Most delivery companies understand and appreciate that the contents have to be checked and allow sufficient time to do so.

I always try my best to help with any items that have been lost or damaged. But I cannot be held responsible for any claims that have not followed this procedure.

CUSTOMS / VAT / TAX

My business is based in France. So, when items are sent to a country outside of Europe, there can be additional costs – such as customs, import tax or VAT – that need to be paid before the item can be delivered or collected.

These additional costs are not included in the price charged by LuxSabre.com. The responsibility for paying these charges is entirely with the customer, or the recipient, if the product is being delivered to a different address then the buyer’s.

LuxSabre has no control over these charges and is not responsible for paying them.

RECYCLED PACKAGING

I try my best to reuse and recycle packaging and boxes whenever possible, because it’s great for the environment. It also helps me keep my shipping costs down, which is a saving I always pass onto my customers.

So just be aware that your item may arrive in a used box or packaging, or may have unexpected labelling. My priority is to ensure that your products are packaged safely and delivered to the correct address. And not to make your parcel look perfect for its delivery journey.
