This rustic oak wood lamp is totally unique. Believe me, there will never be another lamp, even slightly similar to the Carina. This is one of a kind, completely finished and ready to go. Many of my Luxsabre designs are recreated and made-to-order as required. But every now and again I find a single piece of wood just begging to be transformed into a unique lighting work of art. That’s exactly what happened with the Carina. And, when I finish telling you the tale, you’ll understand why this rustic oak lamp is so utterly exclusive and desirable. What you see is what you get – literally.

Handcrafted from ancient reclaimed oak, this piece was once a well-trodden step on a wine cellar staircase. It was almost lost forever during a property renovation, until I glimpsed a corner of the wood and immediately recognised it’s ageless quality. This tired and timeworn piece of wood has now been given a new lease of life as a cool, stylish, practical and inimitable lamp.

Displayed with pride

The hoary oak has been given a modern, interesting shape. And yet, this piece also retains all the scars and imperfections that have built up over time. I didn’t even try to sand them away; they are like medals of valour, displayed with pride. If only the wood could talk – what wondrous stories and secrets it could tell!

Now it hides a new, modern secret, because hidden deep within the oak are stylish LEDs that never need replacing. Tiny LEDs shine beautifully bright through the trio of circles that have been neatly cut from the wood. It’s almost as if the lamp emits a warming glow from its very heart. Neatly finished with a smooth strip of brushed aluminium, this unique rustic oak wood lamp is both ancient and modern. In essence, I believe this piece of illuminating art epitomises the Luxsabre philosophy – Repurposed. Recycled. Reborn.
