Dorado Real Wood Spiral Stack Wall Light

Made entirely from locally sourced French fir-tree wood, at first glance the Dorado design appears quite simplistic. Take another, longer look at the overall composition of this hand-crafted real wood wall light. The stacked complex angles, the light emanating from the top that spirals up to the heavens. But what about the light below? Both lights draw you in but then, like a cloud in a gentle breeze, softly disappear.

The Dorado is incredibly visual – day or night. In natural light the wood’s glorious grain and deep russet colour catch the eye. But in the evening, it is twice as intriguing – is it a light? Perhaps a Jenga puzzle? Or a stack of ancient books balanced precariously, waiting for the slightest breeze to make them tumble and fall?

It can be whatever your imagination wants it to be. But one thing is certain, this eye-catching spiral stack is not simple – it’s complex, hypnotising. And actually it is an incredibly practical wall light too!

 

Entirely hand-crafted, the Dorado has 2 brand new, ceramic lamp holders, one at either end. These are suitable for small G9 capsule bulbs, or better still their LED equivalent, which I have used in the photos. Both types are widely available. The LEDs are very economical and great low energy/low wattage lamps. They will last for years and stay nice and cool. They are the ones I would recommend for this type of light fitting. So, if you want me to supply these, please ask when ordering.
